Single-cell protein analysis with NGS

Proteins are workhorse molecules, executing the myriad tasks necessary for correct cellular and organism function. Technological advances now allow proteins to be studied at single-cell resolution with Illumina next-generation sequencing readout. This enables more than 200 proteins to be studied simultaneously, with the multiplexing capacity continuously growing. Moreover, it permits a seamless expansion to additional modalities, for example CRISPR perturbations and RNA expression, allowing linking these datasets, to arrive at a more holistic view of biology.
