Workshop: "DNA Methylation Profiling as a tool for Classifying Brain Tumors”
Friday 20th September, 13:00- 14:30 - Room: Tête d'Or 1
DNA methylation analysis can help researchers gain valuable insight into gene regulation and identify potential biomarkers. Aberrant DNA methylation has been implicated in many disease processes, including cancer.
While genome and transcriptome data undergo considerable changes within tumors and tumor progression, methylome data remains significantly more stable, providing a powerful tool as a cancer classifier.
Join our workshop to hear from the leading scientist, Dr. Felix Sahm, Dept. of Neuropathology, University Hospital Heidelberg, Germany, how they are currently using DNA Methylation and learn how you, too, could benefit from its potential value in brain tumor studies.
