Talks on Friday 6 November:

1 - 09:00-09:30 (UK) Workshop:

Expand your understanding of biology with Illumina single-cell and spatial sequencing

Single-cell sequencing has revolutionized our view of biology in health and disease, illuminating the complex cell type landscape and being invaluable to further understand cell diversity and heterogeneity. The rapid technology development has enabled RNA, DNA, proteins and epigenetics to be studied in individual single cells. New approaches are frequently becoming available, expanding the biological modalities that can be analyzed. Increasingly, methods are multi-modal in nature, making possible simultaneous analysis of multiple biological molecules to uncover new layers of molecular connectivity. In this presentation, I will describe the current state of this field, the trends, and how Illumina’s latest solutions enable deeper, broader and larger single-cell sequencing studies to further expand our collective understanding of biology.

Dr. Pawel Zajac, Sr Marketing Manager EMEA, Cell Biology, Illumina

2- 12:00-12:30 (UK) Roundtable:

Trends in single-cell and spatial sequencing

Please join Illumina to discuss:

Application of multi-modal single-cell sequencing to uncover new layers of connectivity between biological molecules,

  • Retaining spatial location information to study expression within its tissue context,
  • Simultaneous analysis of large sample numbers with barcoding approaches,
  • Novel analysis tools unlocking more insights from single-cell and spatial sequencing data.

Collectively, these approaches pave the way for more complex studies to get a deeper understanding of biological processes.

Moderators: Dr. Pawel Zajac (Sr Marketing Manager EMEA, Cell Biology) and Dr. Anna Babayan (Sr Marketing Manager EMEA, Cancer Research)
