The tumor microenvironment (TME) has been recognized as a key factor in determining therapeutic response across various cancer types. However, to date, exploring the full depth and complexity of the TME has been hindered by a lack of adequate tools. Bulk RNA sequencing, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry have led to landmark discoveries in cancer research. However, they have also stopped short due to their lack of resolution, scale and sample accessibility. In this webinar, 10x Genomics and Illumina will present the Single Cell Fixed RNA solution, which enables RNA sequencing at the single cell level across millions of cells from fixed samples. Introducing simple and ubiquitous fixation conditions enables routine profiling of the transcriptome of ~1M single cells across as many as 128 unique samples, while releasing supply chain and time constraints from experimental designs. Exploring the full complexity of the TME is now both achievable and accessible.
