Discover how shotgun metagenomic sequencing is revolutionizing human microbiome research by enhancing the resolution and reliability of studies on complex human-associated microbial communities—delivering high-throughput, comprehensive data that reduces manual steps, enhances accuracy, and accelerates lab workflows for microbiome research.

Join speakers from both Illumina and the Microbiome Virtual International Forum (MVIF), a global, free, and inclusive platform dedicated to advancing scientific exchange and education in microbiome research.

Webinar Speakers

Nicola Segata
Full Professor at the Department CIBIO, University of Trento, Italy

Nicola works in the fields of human microbiome research and computational biology. The Computational Metagenomics Lab he leads at the Dep. CIBIO and at the European Institute of Oncology comprises 11 postdocs, 3 research assistants, 11 Ph.D. students, and several pre-doctoral students. They use experimental metagenomic tools and novel computational approaches to study the diversity of the human microbiome and its cross-talk with the human body in health and disease.
