24sure+ is designed for the investigation of subchromosomal imbalances in embryos of reciprocal translocation carriers. 24sure+ includes increased coverage of pericentromeric and subtelomeric regions to ensure the identification and reporting of the smallest derived chromosome fragments within 12 hours, enabling for the detection of subchromosomal aberrations in single cells.
24sure+ microarrays are for the analysis of sub chromosomal copy number imbalance where differently fluorescently labelled test and reference DNA’s are hybridized to immobilized probes and regions of copy number imbalance can be identified.
Each 24sure+ subarray contains BAC (bacterial artificial chromosomes) clones from the Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RP-nomenclature) human genome collection, spotted in duplicate. Clones have been selected enabling investigation of subtelomeric regions at approximately 350 Kb resolution and screening of the genomic backbone at 680 Kb resolution. 24sure+ microarrays are designed specifically for use on amplified single cells and as such BAC clones on the array have been specifically selected to respond strongly and specifically to flow-sorted chromosomes and not be in polymorphic or disease regions.
