Access to genomics

We are working to make genomic innovations universally accessible so that improving human health through the power of the genome becomes routine, not rare

How we accelerate access

By advancing scientific innovation, reducing the total cost and complexity of sequencing, and building inclusive partnerships, we empower our customers and partners to expand access for all. Our goal is to ensure that genomic technologies, data, and insights are accessible and inclusive, enabling every researcher, clinician, and community to create meaningful impact and improve lives.

Be the engine of genomic innovation and science

Lower the total end-to-end cost and complexity of sequencing

2025 Highlights

  • >10 whole human genome data equivalents sequenced our platforms every minute in 2025
  • ~21,000 instruments installed as of FY25
  • 860,554 sequencing publications as of FY25
  • ~9000 patents worldwide as of FY25

Improving human health requires genomic data that reflects the diversity of our global populations

Genomics has been integrated into clinical practice at a faster rate than almost any innovation in the history of medicine, yet inequities persist in who is represented and who benefits. Much of the genomic data used today reflects limited population groups, which can create bias in disease risk assessment and clinical interpretation. Ensuring genomic data reflects global diversity helps improve accuracy, reduce bias, and support health outcomes that are better aligned to the needs of diverse populations.

The future of our mission relies on nurturing and equipping the next generation

Through direct programming, nonprofit partnerships, and employee engagement, we support educators as advocates for genomics. By equipping educators with the tools, resources, and confidence to teach genomics, we help inspire learners of all ages to engage with STEM and envision themselves as future leaders.

• 2030 Target: Reach 5 million STEM learners globally

• 2025 Progress: ~2.6 million reached since 2019
