In order to prepare transcriptome libraries from Epidemiology samples, we recommend using a Ribo-Zero rRNA Removal Epidemiology Kits in combination with the TruSeq stranded mRNA kits. This kit will remove cytoplasmic and mitochondrial rRNA from samples composed of human/mouse/rat, Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial RNA.
Starting Material: Begin RiboZero with 1-5ug total RNA, then take 10-100ng RiboZero product into TruSeq protocol (see second note in "Purify and Fragment mRNA" section of the User Guide).

* Library prep is compatible with all Illumina instruments. Recommended instruments chosen based on typical output and analysis need for selected application. † Based on 20M reads per sample for RNA profiling and 50M reads per sample for transcriptome analysis. Use twice the number of reads for FFPE or degraded samples. |
