John and Sarah Gee were not sure if they would ever be able to have a family. Upon seeking expert advice at a CARE Fertility clinic in the UK, they were counseled to use preimplantation genetic screening (PGS) to improve their chances of getting pregnant. Chromosome aneuploidy, or an abnormal number of chromosomes, is a major cause of in vitro fertilization (IVF) failure. PGS screens all 24 chromosomes for an accurate and efficient view of the health of an embryo and can help determine which embryos are the most viable for IVF.
