AmpliSeq for Illumina Custom DNA Panel
Targeted custom research panels optimized for sequencing specific targets or genomic content of interest.
Create custom targeted resequencing panels optimized for your research goals
Create custom panels to focus on your specific genes and targets of interest when they are not available on ready-to-use panels. Use the free web-based DesignStudio Assay Design Tool to submit your target regions of interest and get personalized panel content for your study.
Targeted custom research panels optimized for sequencing specific targets or genomic content of interest.
Targeted custom RNA research panels optimized for sequencing up to 1200 genomic targets of interest.
Customizable targeted panel for detecting fusion genes and gene expression profiling of up to 12–1200 targets of interest.
To create your AmpliSeq for Illumina Custom Panel, use DesignStudio Assay Design Tool to select parameters like assay type, species, sample type, and maximum amplicon length. Add your targets using genes or coordinates of interests. Targets can be selected based on preloaded reference genomes, or you can upload a custom reference genome.
To design your amplicons, an optimized algorithm considers a range of factors including GC content, specificity, and coverage. Candidate amplicons are visualized and assessed using estimated success scores. You can filter, add, or remove amplicons from your design. After visualization and QC, you can order your panel.

You can pool up to 96 samples per sequencing run with integrated sample barcodes. The actual number of samples that can be pooled depends on the number of amplicons and the desired depth of coverage. DesignStudio Assay Design Tool features an online calculator to inform these parameters.
You can view BaseSpace Sequence Hub demo data sets for AmpliSeq for Illumina Custom RNA Panels and other AmpliSeq for Illumina Panels in BaseSpace Public Data.
No, although DesignStudio Assay Design Tool returns high confidence amplicon designs that have delivered unprecedented amplicon multiplexing performance, performance of each design will need to be tested empirically as design and sample input can vary. To create a custom panel from a catalog of > 5K pretested genes, use AmpliSeq for Illumina On-Demand Panels.
