FAQs

The MiSeq i100 Series offers breakthrough advancements in system design, XLEAP-SBS chemistry, and integrated data analysis. It delivers operational simplicity, high data accuracy, and exceptional speed, generating results up to 4× faster. It has 4× higher output, 4× faster turnaround time powered by XLEAP-SBS chemistry, index-first sequencing, onboard DRAGEN secondary analysis, and room-temperature ship-and-store consumables.

The MiSeq i100 System (available in 2025) is a lower cost instrument that runs 5M and 25M flow cells to support lower data output and sample throughputs.

The MiSeq i100 Plus System (available now) accesses a wider range of throughputs with 5M, 25M, 50M, and 100M flow cells for more sequencing per sample and larger studies. The 5M and 25M flow cells are available now. The 50M and 100M flow cells will be available starting in 2025 for the MiSeq i100 Plus System only.

The MiSeq i100 Series features index-first sequencing, which enables early demultiplexing of run data. This allows users to obtain a preview of sample representation prior to the completion of a run, enabling subsequent run planning as needed. Index-first sequencing is the default on the MiSeq i100 Series; however, standard sequencing is also available.
